Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock provides everything in fishing and boating. They offer a wide variety of boat and houseboat rentals, scuba equipment rentals and scuba instructions & training, guided fishing trips on Bull Shoals Lake and White River, an on-site convenience store, and a Bait/Tackle Shop.
Established in 1955, the Norfork National Fish Hatchery is a cold water hatchery primarily for the production of trout to restock the tailwaters below Norfork, Bull Shoals and other dams. The hatchery is responsible for raising three kinds of trout: rainbow, brown and cutthroat.
After the discovery a record-setting 13,000 pound of zinc in Rush, Arkansas in 1883, the town boasted nearly 22,000 residents who flocked to join the mining community. Today, the town is deserted, its aging buildings still towering in the middle of the once-bustling community. Lucky for us, the National Park Service turned it into an incredible hiking destination.
Established in 1972, Buffalo National River flows freely for 135 miles and is one of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states. Once you arrive, prepare to journey from running rapids to quiet pools while surrounded by massive bluffs as you cruise through the Ozark Mountains down to the White River.
Blanchard Springs Caverns is one of the most spectacular and carefully developed caves found anywhere in the world. It is located in the Ozark National Forest and is believed to have been formed, and continually changed, by an ongoing mountain spring that pours into a glassy-surfaced trout pond below the cave, called Mirror Lake.
This is a local park on the White River in Cotter AR. There are plenty of things to keep you entertained for a few hours. There are picnic tables, rest rooms/changing areas, a swimming hole, and a rope swing to keep the kids entertained!
Located on Crooked Creek is one of four Arkansas Game and Fish Conservation Education Centers. Family nights and summer programs feature conservation and outdoor recreation instruction for kids and families.
